Tips for the multi-job juggler

In these difficult economic times I’m sure there are others out there who are juggling two jobs or sometimes more. It’s not an easy task. Sometimes you feel as though you never have any free time for yourself. Here are just a few ideas that can help streamline your day so just maybe you can carve out a little time for pampering, hobbies or anything else you’d like to do.

One thing I’m a big fan of is crockpots. There are many recipes you can find online using a crockpot. I get all my ingredients together the night before – chopping vegetables and such – and dump everything in the crockpot in the morning. It’s really nice to come home and have dinner all ready for you.

Another thing I like to do is when I do have a little extra time, I cook in bulk. I make as many meals as I can and freeze them. It’s great for those days when you really have zero time to prepare anything to eat. I also do this for lunches.

Try outsourcing. This is another avenue to help you free up some time. I’ve found kids in my neighborhood who will mow my lawn and do other small chores at a very reasonable price. There is a website called Fivr.com where people will do many things such as create logos, help build websites, send birthday cards, etc. all for $5. It’s worth a visit to check it out and see if there’s any help for you on there.

Multitask. Try to do as many things at the same time as you can. Do laundry while cooking dinner while catching up on your phone calls or your email.

These are some of the things that work for me. Maybe you have some others you would like to share. We can all use a little extra creative help.
